ARTIST TALK: 'Engaging with Environmental Issues through Audiovisual Art' - with Kathy HindeUK
Audiovisual artist Kathy Hinde aims to create works to develop a deeper, shared consciousness and empathetic relationship with the natural world. Her audiovisual creations explore the relationship between people, other species and Earth's systems.Over the past year, Kathy has created works focusing on the rivers and tides of her hometown, Bristol, UK, opening up a new field of practice through the use of analog film and ecological processing techniques.In this talk she will share some of these new films along with other related projects such as installations, site-specific works, performances and listening walks. Kathy's creative practice is centered on ecological concerns, and she will frame the presentation of her work from this perspective. This activity takes place in English but will be simultaneously translated into Spanish.
