KITANA is the avatar of French-Japanese VJ and visual artist Charlotte Risch.
Influenced by her past as the guitarist of local metal and punk rock bands, Risch’s visual prowess is always in balance with the musical experience. The concept of textures and layers has been with her as a musician, and continues to impress as it takes visual form. She mixes video techniques; found footage, 3D, custom designed colourful sequences, into unique collages.
KITANA's VJ set aims to stimulate not only the eyes, but brings forth memories of places, spaces and experiences. Her style is rapid, intense and charming, mindful of the audience and always attempting to elevate an event into an audiovisual experience.
