Hernán RopertoAR
Hernán Roperto is an Argentine audiovisual artist, VJ and engineer. As HR Studio's founder and creative director, he develops real time visuals, performances and site-specific installations. His practice blends technology, generative art and geometric abstraction to bridge the gap between sound, image and perception, combining systems-driven thinking, technical precision and artistic intuition.
His work has been presented in international festivals and stages like OFFF Barcelona, FILE São Paulo, Live Performance Meeting in Rome, Pleamar Argentina and Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg's Art and Culture Biennial among others.
Live audiovisual performance especially has a central role in Hernán Roperto's practice. His live sets are open, visual systems built up in real time, combining prepared material with manipulation and live composition. Geometry, color, repetition, texture and transformation form a vocabulary that he reorganizes as he performs to fit the sound and space.
