InterspecificsMX
Interspecifics is an independent artistic research collective founded in Mexico City in 2013. Its practice focuses on the use of sound and AI through the vast possibilities between hardware, software and DIY science. Their research, pieces and performances have been part of international festivals and galleries in cities such as Chengdu, China and Berlin, Germany.
Interspecifics installations and performances oscillate between the vibrational link that exist between species (from bacteria to brain waves) and measurable data, using sound frequencies to reveal worlds never before seen. The above is revealed in panoramic sound environments and enveloping visual abstractions that invite us to dialogue with machines, non-human intelligence and the discreet magic of microorganisms.
