The icing on the cake for the fifteenth anniversary of MUTEK ES could not be another: Ricardo Villalobos. After presenting his live project VILOD at MUTEK ES 2016, together with Max Loderbauer, Ricardo will return behind the decks for a unique occasion.
The Chilean-German producer and DJ is one of the biggest icons of the microhouse and minimalist trends, both his DJ sets and the dozens of references that he accumulates on labels such as Playhouse and Perlon are characterized by his masterful treatment of percussion, which he expands to infinity in a psychedelic way, impregnating them with emotion.
Ricardo Villalobos' session at the festival coincides with the reissue of his acclaimed “Alcachofa” (Playhouse, 2003), the masterpiece that made him a legend 20 years ago.
