Mathieu Arsenault, aka Seulement, uses technological tools like an artisan molding clay: sound and image are manipulated with a sensitivity open to error, to the human mark, to the happy accident.
Seulement crafts a unique live A/V performance, Bricolage Architecture. This project delves into a tactile dialogue between stop-motion animation and live modular synthesis, merging handcrafted cardboard cutouts with electroacoustic manipulation of voice and flute loops. His work exposes human vulnerability within technological perfection, celebrating bodily imperfections in an era dominated by artificial intelligence.
