MUTEK Barcelona celebrated its 15th anniversary with a packed edition: 29 artists of 18 nationalities, more than 7000 attendees, 15 conferences and round tables and 134 B2B meetings. It was 5 days full of avant-garde music, digital art and unforgettable experiences.

The sold out was also announced in several of the programs: in the Opening Concert with the legendary Autechre in collaboration with Primavera Sound and Caprichos de Apolo, in Sculpted with Light & Sound at Roca Barcelona Gallery, and Play at l'Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm. The two nights of Nocturne, MUTEK's most festive cycle, were also well attended by an audience eager to dance. This anniversary edition featured, among others, artists such as Actress, Daito Manabe, Pantha Du Prince, Donato Dozzy, Hatis Noit, Nick León & Ezra Miller, Jlin, Iglooghost, Maher Daniel, Sofia Kourtesis, Honeydrip, HiTech, Pelada, Noémi Büchi and SPIME.IM.

The MUTEK Symposium program, which revolved around the theme Feeding Networks in Digital Creativity, also proved to be in top form with a full house at all activities. The MUTEK Marketplace, held in collaboration with BAU Research and the Master in Audiovisual Innovation and Interactive Environments, was a true reflection of the Quebec-Catalonia partnership and featured ten inspiring creative studios: Brava! Studio (CAT), Domestic Data Streamers (CAT), International Digital Arts Alliance (QC), Isotone Studio (QC), Mira-Landscapes (CAT), Normal Studio (QC), Playmodes (CAT), QDSInternational (QC), Société des arts technologiques (QC) and Sound Earth Legacy (CAT).

The central day, which took place one day later at l'Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm, was also sold out, with an interesting program of professional activities developed in collaboration with MUTEK Montréal. All thanks to the support of the Gouvernement du Québec, the Bureau du Québec à Barcelone, the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB), the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (ICEC) through its internationalization brand Catalan Arts, Acción Cultural Española AC/E (PICE Program) and Xn Québec.
